A challenging rebuild of an existing house in the delightful village of Runswick Bay. Built on a steep slope the existing house suffered from significant structural movement. The new replacement house built in ICF off new piled foundations provides for modern living with stunning views across the bay. Constructed of 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms the ground floor kitchens dining rooms extends onto an extensive balcony with unrivalled views.
ROLE
Olbe were Development Managers for this scheme working with owner Ione Cumming to deliver the new house. Designed by local architects working with Ridge & Partners surveyors and engineers the scheme took over 12 months to build with the restricted site access adding to the construction difficulties. Constructed in ICF with insulated slate roofs over th building meets EPC A and the roof mounted PV supplement the electric ASHP heating and hot water source.
